The Caring Hearts Adult Day Center offers an interactive social group for seniors with mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease or dementia.  If you are caring for someone with dementia and think your loved one may benefit, contact us today for more information.

Group members maintain their independence and stay active by making new friends, socializing and participating in a variety of fun activities. Your loved one will be involved in structured, supervised, and engaging activities, while you get a break from your caregiving responsibilities.  Activities stimulate the participants mentally and physically!

This program will help you to keep your loved one at home as long as possible. The mental and physical activities we do in the group stimulate the members, and caregivers often report that they do better at home. Some activities include:

  •     Arts & Crafts
  •     Card games
  •     Reminiscing
  •     Daily Exercise
  •     Sing-a-longs
  •     Music activities
  •     Word games

Lunch service and transportation -- a nutritious hot lunch is an option through our in-house meal program. Palatine Township offers transportation for township residents through the Transportation Program, where appropriate.

Memory Cafe

Third Wednesday of Each Month; Dec. 18, 2019, Jan. 15, Feb. 19, & Mar. 18, 2020
Join us for our new Memory Cafe Program. The Memory Café is a FREE monthly social gathering designed for people living with dementia, or another form of cognitive impairment, and their care partners to feel welcomed and engaged in their own community.  Memory Café is not respite care or a place to “drop off” your loved one.  It is an opportunity for the person living with dementia and their caregiver to enjoy activities together and to enhance their normal routine without the burden of disability or disease.  This is an opportunity to meet others, socialize, and learn from each other.  We will offer fun activities, educational presentations, and time to just connect with others!  We will also provide a FREE lunch after the program!
If you would like to be contacted about this program, please call the Main Office at 847.991.1112.
